Subdivision Development And Authority

The Village of Spring Lake has delegated all subdivision development authority to Municipal Planning Services (MPS). MPS plays a key role in ensuring that subdivision and development projects within the Village align with local planning policies, regulations, and long-term community goals.

Role of Municipal Planning Services (MPS):

  • Reviewing Subdivision Applications: Evaluating the suitability of proposed subdivisions based on factors such as land use, infrastructure, and environmental impact.
  • Ensuring Compliance with Planning Documents: Ensuring that all subdivisions are consistent with the Village’s Municipal Development Plan (MDP), Land Use Bylaw (LUB), and other relevant regulations.
  • Coordination with Other Authorities: Collaborating with various municipal departments and external agencies to ensure that proposed developments meet all necessary requirements.
